March
2009 - NZ National Championships News
Well
we made the big trip down to the Nz Nationals at
Cambridge at the end of February. The decision was made
this year to concentrate on the young stock of the stud,
with only one senior mare going "Miracle of Love".
Unfortunately the day dawned in Torrential rain and
wind. So we put on rain coats and carried on!! We are
very proud to announce that Wheatbix FF made a fabulous
debut winning Top 5 Junior Derivative Pony, Nz National
Reserve Champion Junior Pony, Top 5 Derivative Amateur
to Handle, a great start to her NZ career.
Al
Khajouleh Ks was next and she did extremely well in
torrential conditions to qualify in her foal class for
the Top 5 line up against yearlings. While she did not
make the cut, she did extremely well for her first show,
and never put a foot wrong. We couldn't ask for more!
Our
next Baby to compete was the ever popular Jassur Ks,
This young man seriously showed off and strutted his way
around the ring! The attitude and movement was
outstanding!! Jassur made us very proud to win... Top 3
Purebred Junior Colt ( Against Yearlings) Nz National
Reserve Champion Junior Colt Need less to say, i was
crying as we exited the ring!! I was just so proud of
our boy.
Miracle
of Love was next in the ring, competing against some
Past National Champions, we knew this was a big ask, but
also we knew the quality mare that she was. Miracle made
our weekend by winning: Top 5 Purebred Arabian Mare Nz
National Champion Purebred Mare - in the capable hands
of Heath Rowbottom Nz National Champion Purebred
(Combined) Amateur to Handle Miracle is now able to
relax
back into the broodmare band, where we know she
will be able to breed some more future
national
champions for us. The future is looking very bright
indeed!!
Warrawee Dreems also made a return to the Nationals as a
Senior Mare. Dreems won the following: Nz National
Reserve Champion
Senior Derivative Mare Nz National
Champion Derivative - Handled by Amateur - Well done
Kristy!! Jazz also competed with Kristy Nz National
Reserve Champion Senior Derivative Gelding Top 5 Ridden
Derivative Warrawee Dreems ( Au) Champion Senior
